Ray Gastil joined with the University of Washington Runstad Affiliate Fellows site visits, interviews, and presentations in Bogota, Medellin, and Cartagena, from leaders in architecture, planning and development. Lessons in urban and social mobility, density, public space, and architecture. The Fellows Facebook blog documents highlights of the research trip, from meetings with Medellin’s Planning Director Jorge Perez, to riding the open air escalators integrated into a comprehensive mobility strategy.
